Care & Maintenance Guide
Jiadrooe Titan Series: Care & Maintenance for Longevity
A Jiadrooe Titan T3021 is built to last a lifetime of adventures. However, like any precision overlanding gear, regular maintenance ensures it remains your reliable sanctuary for years to come. Follow this guide to protect your investment.
1. Shell Maintenance (5052 Aluminum)
The aviation-grade aluminum shell is tough, but exposure to road salt and UV rays requires basic care.
-
Cleaning: Use mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the finish.
-
Seasonal Protection: For those in coastal areas or states like Ohio and Indiana where road salt is common in winter, we recommend applying a high-quality automotive wax to the shell once a season to prevent oxidation.
2. Fabric & Canvas Care
Our 600D Poly-Oxford fabric is highly waterproof, but it needs to "breathe."
-
Dry Before Closing: The #1 rule of RTT ownership: Never store your tent wet for more than 24 hours. If you pack up in the rain, open it up as soon as you get home to let it air dry completely. This prevents mold and mildew.
-
Cleaning Stains: Use a soft brush and specialized fabric cleaner if necessary. Do not machine wash.
3. Hardware & Hydraulics
-
Gas Struts: Our nitrogen-charged struts are maintenance-free, but keep the shafts clean of grit and dirt to ensure smooth operation.
-
Hinges & Latches: Apply a dry silicone spray lubricant to the stainless steel hinges once a year to keep the deployment "60-second smooth."
4. Power Controller & Electricals
-
Port Protection: When not in use, ensure the rubber dust covers are securely fitted over the external power ports to prevent moisture ingress.
-
Storage: If storing the tent for winter, ensure all internal LED lights are switched off.
